The Challenge<\/h2>\n

We were asked to create a professional \u201chigh-volume zone\u201d style\u00a0MT4 trading system that is equally perfect for\u00a0trend-followers and swing\u00a0traders\u00a0and has a very good risk\/reward ratio. It was also important to create a unique VSA volume bar base chart, and the system needed to show the trend and the important\u00a0trend cycles too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Solution<\/h2>\n

We created System No.2. to fit the needs of sophisticated traders who like to combine swing trading with trend-following strategies. We coded a two-component step histogram\u00a0to show the trend direction and cycles, developed a custom multi-color volume\u00a0bar base chart for VSA visualisation\u00a0and even added a brilliant market cycle\u00a0indicator that represents the trend cycles in a visual way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

License Information Panel:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>your name, license code and other important information<\/p>\n

Trend\u00a0Bars:<\/strong>\u00a0The four-color trend\u00a0bars are the heart and soul of System No2. These provide excellent VSA visualisation so even traders with zero VSA knowledge can follow the signals easily. Light-gray bars indicate a standard bullish candle and dark-gray bars are standard bearish candles.\u00a0Green\u00a0bars mean strong bullish\u00a0power (buy signal) while red bars mean strong bearish power (sell signal).<\/p>\n

Trend Rainbow:\u00a0<\/strong>The multi-color ribbon\u00a0is an unique and smart\u00a0trend filter. \u201eTrend is your friend\u201d \u2013 this is one of the basic and widely known concepts of the technical analysis. However unfortunately it is not just that easy, as identifying a trend in the beginning of it is one of the hardest tasks in chart analysis. The Trend Ribbon\u00a0indicator is the best help in identifying a trend. We only buy above the Rainbow and only sell if the price is below the Rainbow.<\/p>\n

MainTrend Indicator:<\/strong>\u00a0The MainTrend Indicator is a smart step-histogram that\u00a0shows the direction of the main, long-term trend.<\/p>\n

SubTrend Indicator:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>The SubTrend Indicator is a smart step-histogram that\u00a0shows the direction of the short-term\u00a0trend cycles.<\/p>\n

Volume Meter:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>The volume meter shows is a secondary confirmation tool that shows the strength of the signals.<\/p>\n

Watermark:\u00a0<\/strong>The Watermark helps traders to trade on different charts at the same time with showing the instrument\u2019s name with capital letters. It can be a big help for anyone\u00a0who prefers to switch the charts frequently.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Buy Entry Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. The price is above the Trend Ribbon.<\/li>\n
  2. The MainTrend histogram is bullish\u00a0(light color)<\/li>\n
  3. The SubTrend histogram is also bullish\u00a0(light color)<\/li>\n
  4. A green TrendBar appears on\u00a0the chart.<\/li>\n
  5. (As a secondary confirmation check that the VolumeMeter stripe for the entry bar is longer than for the previous bar.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Sell Entry Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The price is below\u00a0the Trend Ribbon.<\/li>\n
    2. The MainTrend histogram is bearish\u00a0(dark color)<\/li>\n
    3. The SubTrend histogram is also bearish\u00a0(dark color)<\/li>\n
    4. A red\u00a0TrendBar appears on\u00a0the chart.<\/li>\n
    5. (As a secondary confirmation check that the VolumeMeter stripe for the entry bar is longer than for the previous bar.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Safety Stop Loss:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Put your safety stop loss to the last high\/low.<\/p>\n

      Exit Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      You can choose between 3 exit rules, please choose the one that fits to your trading style and money management better.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Exit with\u00a0SL:TP 1:1 , eg if you put your SL to 40 pips, use a 40 pips TP (\u201cautomated\u201d trading)<\/li>\n
      2. Exit\u00a0when the\u00a0volume becomes weak (the volume-meter shows tiny stripes)<\/li>\n
      3. Exit at the nearest round number level (eg 1.2200, 1.4600, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Additional tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \u2013 You can re-enter every time the TrendBars signal\u00a0as long as the entry confirmation tools support the entry.<\/p>\n

        \u2013 You can also use the Fibonacci lines as targets (or even find good stop loss zones with it).<\/p>\n

        \u2013 The system performs best on M30, H1, H4 charts, however it can be used on smaller timeframes too with reduced risk. Experience the different timeframes and currency pairs and find your favorites.<\/p>\n

        \u2013 If the Rainbow is very thin and the lines cross each other like a grid, it means the trend is ranging and entering into a trade can be risky.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
