How many times have you seen a trade you were in take-off 3, 5, 10x higher than you expected it to go, while you sat on your hands taking profits just as it was getting going?<\/p>\n

How many times have you tried to hold out for the big moves only to be stopped out, again and again.<\/p>\n

How many times have<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t been following me for a few years, then you might be surprised to find out that I have been trading crypto for coming up on 10 years now.<\/p>\n

And you may have an opinion on crypto that isn\u2019t all that good.<\/p>\n

But stick with me here\u2026I\u2019m not shilling a scam coin.<\/em><\/p>\n

The world of crypto currency trading is a mad house!<\/p>\n

A religion.<\/p>\n

A cult.<\/p>\n

(But for some of us, it isn\u2019t)<\/p>\n

At one end you have the die-hard Bitcoin folks who think anything other than Bitcoin is a threat to humanity.<\/p>\n

Then you have folks who have tried new technology, new improvements in incentives, or outright scams\u00a0creating their own currency or tokens.<\/p>\n

Random\u00a0nerds scamming investors out of billions, and it happens during every crypto bull market\u2026this time isn\u2019t different.<\/em><\/p>\n

Every bull market brings a new and creative scam.<\/p>\n

And every bull market also brings new experimentation, new technology, new protocols, and new ideas at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n

The breakneck speed that crypto moves, and the access to capital (when in a bull market), brings all sorts of people.<\/p>\n

But it isn\u2019t all evil.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s our parents, it\u2019s friends from school, it\u2019s your neighbor.<\/p>\n

When the bull market is on in crypto, everyone\u00a0is talking\u00a0about it.<\/p>\n

And when it\u2019s moving it seems like everyone is making money\u2026 and there\u2019s no time for sleep.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been there. I spent the majority of 2017 fully immersed in crypto.<\/p>\n

I went to the meetups in San Francisco, I had dinners, coffee and drinks with a lot of the big names in the crypto world.<\/p>\n

I lived and breathed it.<\/p>\n

Up all day and night reading every white paper, in private Facebook (before Telegram took off) groups, scouring miles of code to find an edge.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0started a Crypto hedge fund in October 2017 and returned all the capital (plus huge profits) to investors by January 2018,\u00a0when it was obvious<\/strong>\u00a0that it wasn\u2019t sustainable at those levels.<\/p>\n

The timing was impeccable.<\/p>\n

(lucky really)<\/p>\n

It was a wild time.<\/p>\n

That was the year when I learned\u00a0my biggest lesson about momentum trading.<\/p>\n

Of course, I had studied momentum systems quite a bit over the years, and knew they were a major edge, but I had never been the beneficiary of such a strong and sustained move.<\/p>\n

Momentum systems are what everyone wants to trade, it makes them super appealing.<\/p>\n

Momentum systems are VERY HARD to trade, that\u2019s what makes them so lucrative.<\/p>\n

Why so hard?<\/p>\n

Momentum trades go further and last longer than anyone expects\u2026or believes is sustainable.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a step back here and talk about the two types of trades.<\/p>\n

Mean reversion and trending.<\/p>\n

Mean reversion (or a sideways market) happens about 70% of the time.<\/p>\n

Look at any chart and you\u2019ll see a lot of moving up and down within a range.<\/p>\n

Just when price breaks out to a higher high it immediately is reversed back to within the range.<\/p>\n

And when a new low is taken out, price spikes right back inside the range.<\/p>\n

Notice how long (wide) the sideways markets are compared to the jumps.<\/p>\n

As traders (investors) we get lulled in to thinking the moves are over quickly and are head fakes.<\/p>\n

Looking at the chart you can see months go buy while prices just bang around in the range.<\/p>\n

Each time it pokes is head out a wall of sellers are there to take profits, and the more aggressive traders are fading the move.<\/p>\n

Eventually either everyone who was hoping for a big move is wore out, and has moved on to trade something else, or they\u2019ve been conditioned to take profits and fade the breakouts.<\/p>\n

In other words, no one is positioned for a big directional (momentum\/trend) move.<\/p>\n

So, volume is low, and anyone who is trading it is positioned for a reversal, and they place their stop losses right near their entries.<\/p>\n

This creates a very special opportunity where no one is positioned correctly for the big move.<\/p>\n

Everyone has moved on to other markets.<\/p>\n

In crypto no one is talking about it.<\/p>\n

If you do mention crypto you are the butt of every joke.<\/p>\n

Everyone has a story to tell you about how they got scammed, still have 10 Million SHIBUSDT tokens or a bunch of random wallets that they forgot how to log in to.<\/p>\n

But it doesn\u2019t just happen in crypto.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tech stocks. it\u2019s MEME stocks. It\u2019s AirBNB\u2019s. It\u2019s Bonds for\u00a0you more conservative folks.<\/p>\n

The point is, this isn\u2019t only a crypto thing. It happens in all speculative markets.<\/p>\n

It has happened for centuries.<\/p>\n

This is an edge as old as time!<\/p>\n

But works exceptionally well in high risk, highly speculative markets.<\/p>\n

Like Crypto!<\/p>\n

This is what creates those monster rallies\u2026the whole reason we trade crypto.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019ve been working a system\u00a0just for crypto<\/strong>\u00a0since the last bull market.<\/p>\n

The last bull market I (unlike how it went for me in 2017) I stayed longer than I wanted to. We did great still but should have done a lot better.<\/p>\n

This time I built my system to be in for the big main portion of the move and more importantly to know when things are done.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been live trading the new system for the past two months, without leverage on a basic Coinbase account and have already 10x\u2019d the account.<\/p>\n

This was the account balance last week before this past weekend\u2019s move.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve caught moves in Bitcoin originally but then as that move died out, the system rotated in to other assets, $AVAX, $DOGE, $SOL, $MATIC and $LINK.<\/p>\n

Just this past weekend I caught this ripper in $ICP which I was able to add to the whole way up.<\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t perfect, and doesn\u2019t catch every major move, but when it does, it catches a good chunk of it.<\/p>\n

I built this system to be able to trade in the United States, so it doesn\u2019t require highly speculative foreign exchanges with 100x leverage in order to participate.<\/p>\n

That also means, you regulated folks working on Wall Street can trade this without compliance issues.<\/em><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t shared\u00a0the details with anyone yet, and I\u2019m\u00a0only making it available to 20 people.<\/p>\n

Crypto is a crazy place and too many people with access would cause some issues.<\/p>\n
